Disable file encryption.

By using this tweak you can disable file encryption.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000

Description:

With Encrypting File System (EFS) Windows offers you a possibility to encrypt files and store data securely. By using this tweak you are able to disable file encryption.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter "regedit" and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value "EfsConfiguration", if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to "1" to disable file encryption. However, if you want to get back to the original state to enable it, change the value to "0" or delete the value name.

The changes will take effect after restart.

File is encrypted successfully.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\EFS\],right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "EfsConfiguration" in "EFS" key.

Next, right-click on "EfsConfiguration" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" (Base Hexadecimal) in the text box and click on 'OK'.
