Disable saved Webpages link with accompanying folder.

This tweak lets you disable the link of saved web pages with the accompanying folder.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000
HTML documents have associated graphics files, a style sheet file, and so on, depending on the job. It is but natural to think about link breakup, when you want to move / copy HTML documents. You will certainly like to move / copy its associated files along with the documents. And, if you move the folder with its related files then the HTML file is also moved and vice-versa.

By default, Windows connects the folder with the HTML file. Hence, if either the folder or the HTML file is deleted separately, the other element is also deleted.

To disassociate the linked files and folders follow the step below:

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value “NoFileFolderConnection” in the right panel, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify its value to “1” which can disable Webpage linking. However, if you want to enable the option, change the value data to “0” or delete the value name.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.
