Tweak for : Windows Vista
User Account Control (UAC) is a new security component in Windows Vista. When UAC is enabled, a member of the local Administrators group logs on as a standard user (like a user account in Windows XP) with their administrative privileges disabled. This helps limit malware's ability to make system-wide changes without the administrator's knowledge.

Though UAC definitely strengthens system security on Windows Vista, at times when you are logged in the capacity of Administrator, the regular UAC prompt may obstruct your work. To disable UAC apply this registry setting.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the DWORD value “EnableLUA”, in the right panel, to “0” which can disable UAC. However, if you want to enable the feature back, change the value data to “1”.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.
