Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.
The "Automatic Updates" is forcefully turned off and changes are not allowed.
The Notification to "Automatic Updates" is enabled and changes are not allowed.
The download of "Automatic Updates" is enabled and the changes to it are not allowed.
The "Automatic Updates" is forcefully enabled and the changes are not allowed.
The changes to "Automatic Updates" are enabled by default.
First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\] key, right-click and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "WindowsUpdate".
Third, right-click on the 'WindowsUpdate' key and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "AU".
Fourth, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "NoAutoUpdate".
Fifth, right-click on the 'NoAutoUpdate' DWORD value and click on "Modify".
Sixth, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
Seventh, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "AUOptions".
Eighth, right-click on the 'AUOptions' DWORD value and click on "Modify".
Ninth, enter either of the following values in the text box and click on 'OK'. "2 - Notify for download and notify for install 3 - Auto download and notify for install 4 - Auto download and schedule the install".
Tenth, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "ScheduledInstallDay".
Eleventh, right -click on the 'ScheduledInstallDay' DWORD value and click on "Modify".
Twelfth, enter either of the following values in the text box and click on 'OK'. "0 - Install every day 1 to 7 - Install on specific day of the week from Sunday (1) to Saturday (7)."
Thirteenth, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "ScheduledInstallTime".
Fourteenth, right-click on the 'ScheduledInstallTime' DWORD value and click on "Modify".
Finally, enter either of the following values in the text box and click on 'OK'. "0 to 23 - Install time of day in 24-hour format"
