Task Scheduler's log file size can be modified.

This settings enables you to specify the size of log file of Task Scheduler.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista

Description:

Task Scheduler can schedule execution of desired programs. With this setting you can specify the characteristics of Task Scheduler like the path and the size of the file.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey “\SchedulingAgent” does not exist, create it as explained below. Then, create a DWORD value “MaxLogSizeKB”, to define the size of log file. However, the default value is “20”

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

NOTE:
The actual size of the file is the value represented as in Decimal.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\] key, right-click and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "SchedulingAgent".

Third, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "MaxLogSizeKB".

Fourth, right-click on the 'MaxLogSizeKB' DWORD value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the value you want in the text box and click on 'OK'.
