End non-responding applications immediately at shutdown.

This setting permit you to force the shutdown of your computer without trying to safely exit any non-responding application (killing immediately every executing process)

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000
This setting permit you to shutdown the computer without trying to safely exit any non-responding application (killing immediately every executing process).

If this setting is disabled, and some applications are not responding while you are trying to shutdown, Windows will show an error message for every hanging application in wich you can chose to "end the process" or "cancel" (in this way the shutdown process will be suspended).

For this go to "Start->Run" and enter "regedit" and search the keys listed below. You can create one DWORD value "AutoEndTasks", if this value is not existing.

Now you can set this value to "1" for ending non-responding programs immediately at shutdown. The changes take effect after a restart.

NOTE:
This tweak only influences the current user session. You can also define the default time-out in milliseconds (that is the time used to terminate a process) with the string value "WaitToKillAppTimeout" in the same key listed below.(default value= 20000 ms)
