Fast User Switching from Task Manager.

This tweak permits you to use the "Fast User Switching" option without using the "Welcome Screen".

Tweak for : Windows XP
This tweak permits you to use the "Fast User Switching" option without using the "Welcome Screen".
"with Fast User Switching you can quickly switch to another user account without having to close any program. Then, when the other user is finished, you can switch back to your own account."
You can easily check this option going to "Control Panel"->"User Accounts" and then clicking on "Change the way users log on or off".

Unfortunately you can't check this option if you didn't check the previous option : "Use the welcome Screen"; but pratically you can use the task manager for switching users by activating this tweak.

As you can see below, in the Task Manager window will be added another tab panel : "Users". From this you can easily select your own user and disconnect it, after that you can switch to another user session by typing the user name (and password if set) and clicking ok on the message window that will appear. When this user is finished, you can switch back to your own account repeating the same procedure from Task Manager->Users.

For this go to "Start->Run" and enter "regedit" and search the keys listed below. You can create one DWORD value "AllowMultipleTSSessions", if this value is not existing.

Now you can set this value to 1 for enabling this tweak. After a restart or logoff the changes take effect.

Note n.1: The difference between disconnect and logoff is that : disconnect ends your session but leaves all files and windows open for one day. After that, all sessions left open or dormant will be closed and any unsaved information will be lost. "Log Off" completely ends your session closing all files and windows.

Note n.2: This tweak is not recommended in a high security system.
