Manage the startup programs list.

This setting can help you to manage the existing programs in your startup list.

Tweak for : Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista

Description:

Many of the programs that start up at boot time do not figure in the startup folder. If you want to stop more than one application from loading at boot up, you will normally need to go and turn off the preference in each application one by one. This setting can help you edit the startup programs list.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and delete the value name of relevant application that you want to exclude from the startup list, both from HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE path.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type 'regedit'.

Now, go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\] and right click on any String value and delete to exclude it from the startup list.

Also, go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\] again right click on the String value and delete to exclude the program from 'Startup' list.
