Set the log-on tile screen wallpaper.

This setting enables you to tile the picture of the initial logon screen wallpaper, because the wallpaper you have chosen for your desktop will be displayed after this.

This setting enables you to tile the picture of the initial logon screen wallpaper, because the wallpaper you have chosen for your desktop will be displayed after this.

The log-on default wallpaper will be displayed before any user log on. After log-on screen your choosen desktop wallpaper will be shown.

For this go to "Start->Run" and enter "regedit" and search the key listed below. You can create string values "TileWallPaper", "WallPaperStyle" and "Wallpaper", if these values are not existing.

Now, right-click and modify the value of TileWallpaper to “1” to tile the image, modify the value of TileWallpaperStyle to “2” to stretch the wallpaper and type the path and name of your image for the value of Wallpaper.

NOTE:
A Tiled wallpaper is a pattern that is shown over the whole desktop. A tile usually is a small pictures with the size and width of 100 or 150 pixel.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

The background of the "Logon Screen" is changed after the changes have been made in the registry.

The background of the "Logon Screen" has been set to default.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\] key, right-click on the "TileWallpaper" String value and click on "Modify".

Third, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Fourth, go to the [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\] key, right-click on the "WallpaperStyle" String value and click on "Modify".

Fifth, enter the value "2" in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Sixth, go to the [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\] key, right-click on the "Wallpaper" String value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the path for the background image and click on 'OK'.

Specify the default username for the Windows login (For Win 98/Me).
